Renovations Abound
Our 100+year-old Victorian home is built of brick with much wood trim (some in need of attention!) around gables, windows, doors, and porch areas. On Monday, August 26, a huge orange Skyjack was delivered to our property. The following day, carpenters came to do the painstaking work of replacing the deteriored wood around the exterior. In the middle of September, two more Skyjacks arrived for the painters to start their piece of the project, working in tandem with the carpenters. On October 5, another set of workers came to remove the gutters in preparation for installing new larger ones to accommodate the heavy rainfall. A large truck pulled into our driveway on October 10 with another team of craft persons to install our new gutters. The drills and hammers were deafening, the three Skyjacks poised in various directions around the yard, while the painters and carpenters carried on. As of October 22 the work has been completed.
